Bhakarwadi is a spiral shaped spicy dry snack from Western India. This can be preserved for many days. |
Ingredients:
1.Wheat flour -1 cup
2.Besan flour – 2tbsp
3.Turmaric powder -1/4 tbsp
4.Salt for taste
5.Hot oil -2 tbsp
Stuffing :
1.Dry coconut – 1/4 cup
2.Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
3.Dhaniya – 1tbsp
4.Hing – 1 pinch
5.Tamrind – 2 inch piece
6.Turmaric powder – 1/4 tbsp
7.Fennel seeds -1 tbsp
8.Sesame seeds -2 tbsp
9.Poppy seeds – 1 tbsp
10.Chilli powder-1 tbsp
11.Salt – 1/2 tbsp
12.Oil for frying
Method:
1.Sew the flour add 2 tbsp besan flour,turmaric powder hot oil and crumble well , adding little by little water knead it for 5 min and make soft and tight dough and keep it for rest around 20 min.
2.Cut the coconut into small pieces.
3.Take all the ingredients mentioned above for stuffing and blend it coarsely.
4.Make 2 balls out of dough and roll it into rectangular shape , slightly thin like chapati.
5.Apply little tamrind pulp all over rectangular sheet so that masala stuff sticks to it.
6.Spread the masala all over and roll it tightly so that it forms a pipe
7.Cut small pieces ans press gently where we can see perfect layers.
8.Deep fry them in hot oil under low flem.
9.Now bhakarwadi snack is ready to enjoy.
