Bajra Roti Recipe

Bajra roti is , pearl millet roti high in protein, fibre,good for the diabetics.
Ingredients:

  1. Bajra flour – 3 cups
  2. Cucumber -1 large
  3. Coconut – 1/4 cup grated
  4. Cumin seeds – 1/2 tbsp
  5. Garam masala – 1/2 tbsp
  6. Turmaric powder – 1/2 tbsp
  7. Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander leaves
  9. Curry leaves
  10. Salt as per taste
  11. Oil as per need
  12. Methi/ palak ( optional)
    Method : Firstly wash, peel the cucumber and grate it.
  • Add garam masala,chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, grated coconut,finely chopped curry, coriander leaves and methi / palak ( optional) and finally flour ,salt .
  • Mix well knead it ,if required add water little by little and make it bit thick batter and keep it aside.
  • Wash banana leaves , dry it then add oil and grease it , take handfull batter spread it on greased banala leave then place it on hot tava , pour little oil from side after 2 min remove the leave then heat it other side of roti by adding some oil.
  • Serve with coconut or red chutney
