Bajra roti is , pearl millet roti high in protein, fibre,good for the diabetics.
Ingredients:
- Bajra flour – 3 cups
- Cucumber -1 large
- Coconut – 1/4 cup grated
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tbsp
- Garam masala – 1/2 tbsp
- Turmaric powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Salt as per taste
- Oil as per need
- Methi/ palak ( optional)
Method : Firstly wash, peel the cucumber and grate it.
- Add garam masala,chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, grated coconut,finely chopped curry, coriander leaves and methi / palak ( optional) and finally flour ,salt .
- Mix well knead it ,if required add water little by little and make it bit thick batter and keep it aside.
- Wash banana leaves , dry it then add oil and grease it , take handfull batter spread it on greased banala leave then place it on hot tava , pour little oil from side after 2 min remove the leave then heat it other side of roti by adding some oil.
- Serve with coconut or red chutney
